Just kidding, I’m not going to have kids in the first place. I have enough fictional ones.
2017 is nearly over (when did that happen, she wails into the void) and 2018 is looming just ’round the corner- you know what that means, people?! That’s right, raging parties, unrealistic goals, New Year resolutions, making new, exciting plan- uh, no. Not this year, Susan.
For us book nerds, it’s all about the new books.
Yes, those books- you know the ones- which have been kept away from us while we drowned in our own tears of grief and misery and googled how to kill an author from halfway across the world (yes, I’m looking at you, Clare).
So, these are some of my most anticipated New Releases from 2018-
1. A Reaper At The Gates (An Ember In The Ashes, #3) by Sabaa Tahir
I. CANNOT. WAIT. FOR. THIS.
I. NEED. IT. LIKE. YESTERDAY.
How can you expect me to wait till 10th April? How?
2. Queen Of Air and Darkness (The Dark Artifices, #3) by Cassandra Clare
Beautiful cover is beautiful.
You do NOT push off publishing a book almost a year later AFTER THAT ENDING. YOU DO NOT DO THAT.
Queen Of Air and Darkness is coming out on 4th December, 2018. 4TH DECEMBER.
3. Listen To Your Heart by Kasie West
I mean, Kasie West is a No-Brainer-Gimme-The-Damn-Book author because it’s Kasie West- how can you not like those Feel Good casual contemporary romances? She’s the goddamn queen of Book Rom-Coms.
The entire feel of Listen To Your Heart reminds me of those old Disney movies and shows like Radio Rebel and Hannah Montana– you know the type. So, obviously, I’m really impatient to read it.
4. Meet Cute
This book isn’t a huge deal or anything but it’s a collection of short stories about couples who meet for the first time. I don’t know about you but I LOVE cute First Time stories so I’m hyped.
Meet Cute comes out on 2nd January, 2018 (finally a date not a lifetime away).
5. Love and Luck by Jenna Evans Welch
I adored Love and Gelato- it’s a really, really special book for me and makes me want to get up right now and visit Florence, Italy. I guess the reason I loved that book so much was because of how immersed I was while reading it? I mean, I literally googled every landmark and site mentioned in the book and it was like I was there with Lina and Ren, exploring Italy. So, can you imagine my excitement for this book to come out- especially when it’s set in the same world as Love and Gelato and we might see more of Lina and Ren! AND DID I MENTION WE’RE GONNA BE EXPLORING IRELAND?? *Dies*
It comes out on 8 May, 2018.
Also….
6. THE NEW MARIE RUTKOSKI BOOK WTF
So, while researching for this post, I came across the news that apparently Marie Rutkoski, the author of The Winner trilogy, HAS A BOOK COMING OUT IN 2018. Why isn’t there any hype about it, there isn’t even a title or a cover! Is this really going to happen? DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT??
WHAT EVEN AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY LIFE UNTIL THEN??
How do I get my hands on these books faster? What do you want, Satan? My firstborn, my kidney, my soul (JK I don’t have one). MY SANITY??
Hah. Is your soul and/or firstborn available for trade? I have excess Waterstones vouchers… 😛
