I think it’s high time that I introduce my babies to this blog. I just need the adoption papers to be handed over to me by the authors but I’ll make it happen, you guys. I’ve already talked to my lawyer and everything. I’ve got this.
Copyright who? I don’t know her.
These aren’t in any particular order- don’t look at me like that, I don’t have favorites of my favorites too
(actually, I do but am too lazy to think about it and feel guilty).
I’l be posting a shit ton of fanart along with the characters too (with credits, of course) because, honestly, those artists deserve it.
-Bloodlines by Richelle Mead.
“I’m just going to love you whether you want me to or not.”
Adrian has been one of my oldest and one of my first favorite book characters. In fact, Bloodlines was one of the first YA books that got me into the genre. Naturally, I just… I adore Adrian. Let’s just leave it at that.
Gansey & Ronan & Blue & Adam & Noah
–The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
“In that moment, Blue was a little in love with all of them. Their magic. Their quest. Their awfulness and their strangeness. Her Raven Boys.”
-The Dream Thieves
Okay, if you’ve read The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater, you know that I absolutely cannot choose just one character (although, it might be Gansey. But I cannot do that. Because have you seen these characters?). I’ve just recently read this series and I can already tell you that it’s one of my favorite series of all time. AND THESE FUCKING CHARACTERS…. #BeStillMyBeatingHeart. I think they are some of the best written characters I’ve ever read about.

–Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
“Break my heart,” he said. “Break it in pieces. I give you permission.”
Julian Blackthorn. Julian effin’ Blackthorn is the love of my life. I’m sorry, but he just earned a place in my Favorite Characters List and that’s saying a lot. He’s got this quite charm about him that’s very, very refreshing. But that’s what worries me. It’s like the calm before a storm, you know? Julian Blackthorn might be a complex, borderline gray character- but I fucking love him for that. Fight me.
–The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski
“I will let every single Valorian in the city die if it means you don’t.”
ARGH WHY DO I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS SO DAMN MUCH SOMEBODY TAKE ME TO THEM OR ELSE I WILL LITERALLY BECOME A FUCKING PIECE OF PAPER CLI- um, I’m okay. Totally fine. Absolutely.
I. Love. Arin. Okay? Okay.
-Angelfall by Susan Ee
“I never thought about it before, but I’m proud to be human. We’re ever so flawed. We’re frail, confused, violent, and we struggle with so many issues. But all in all, I’m proud to be a Daughter of Man.”
YA Literature needs more badass heroines like Penryn. Honestly, this gal can kick your ass, has a sharp as knife tongue and is so devoted to her family. She’s basically the female version of Dean Winchester– need I say more?
How can biology explain the excruciating pain of being so in love with these fictional characters when they’re literally just words and paper?
And because I am in love with so many of these fictional characters, I’m making two parts of this post because-with the fan art- this is too long. I hope you enjoyed Part I. ❤
