Upcoming Releases You’d DEFINITELY Want To Add To Your TBR (soz but not really)

by the time you’re done with this, your tbr is going to hate you and that’s a promise.

so it’s SUMMER (slowly making it’s way to monsoon here which i am VERY happy about, btw, love the rains) and that means, obviously, i’m a useless bean, sleep at 3 am (if i’m feeling generous and decide to go to bed early) and wake up at noon.

however, that also means stalking a lot of blogs and booktube videos- point being, i added 20 books in my tbr yesterday in like half an hour and i’m very proud of that.

~so here are a LOT OF UPCOMING BOOKS (in the next couple of months) that you should know about~

I Wanna Be Where You Are by Kristina Forest

this is the author’s memoir in which shaun talks about his coming out experience when he was 19 as queer and 1). i’m super intrigued to read this even tho i haven’t read his books YET and 2). LOOK AT THAT COVER

y’all, i am SO EXCITED for this book, i could COMBUST. it’s all about the texting trope (which i love) and mixed identities (which i’m not a fan of but oh well, we need something to stir up the drama) and also some hate to love goodness so SIGN ME UP.

The Beckoning Shadow by Katharyn Blair

RELEASE DATE: July 2nd, 2019

so this book is about a girl who can summon your worst fears into reality which is, like, horrifying, i would cry. it’s also about her befriending a former MMA fighter and trying to fix him? whatever it is, i’m on board.

Truly, Madly & Royally by Debbie Rigaud

the love story of a black girl and an actual prince of an island in an elite boarding school + all the drama that comes w being the girlfriend of a royal

  1. YES hello this list of books is on point I love everything about it ahhh such a a+ selection! I already read I wanna be where you are, as well as Wild and Crooked and both books were soooo good, I loved them and they have such beautiful covers, too, we can’t deny that haha.
    I am SO excited about Jenn Bennett’s new book, as well as AMERICAN ROYALS I’m right here for all the dramaaaa haha πŸ™‚

  2. Okay I know you warned us at the beginning but WHOA my TBR just took an epic hit from this post. But I guess I’m not too mad about it. πŸ˜‰

    Ahh, I Wanna Be Where You Are looks so good! As a dancer, I love reading books about other dancers. THE COVER of Wild and Crooked, my eyes shall never be the same again after seeing such beauty. Also a book about a book club?? okay yes I am all here for this.

    I have legit never been so excited for so many books after reading a blog post :)) Thank you for putting together this lovely list because I just added SO many books to my TBR and now I’m super excited!!!

      i’m currently reading ‘i wanna be where you are’ and the mc is honestly so passionate about dancing, i bet you’d relate. also, I KNOW RIGHT. the first time i saw the cover of ‘wild and crooked’, it reminded me of the cover of ‘wild beauty’ (by anne-marie mclemore) but then i noticed the broken car and the miscellaneous objects and i was in love.

  3. Omg I so agree with you, the cover for We Are Lost and Found is on POINT. Loveeeee. And when I read the other covers he did I was like, hey, I know those and I’m in love with all of them! So wow.
